Leading Integrated Services and Compliance Outsourcing firm to gain business efficiencies with 2e2.
Connaught plc has been working in partnership with 2e2 to consolidate and streamline its IT framework.
Newbury, UK – 10th March 2010 – As part of a multi-million pound business transformation programme, Connaught plc has been working in partnership with 2e2 to consolidate and streamline its IT framework. Using Microsoft Dynamics AX, delivered by 2e2, Connaught will enjoy return on investment and reduced costs, projecting full payback in less than two years and seeing £3m of benefit per annum thereafter.
With a turnover of £660m, Connaught plc is the leading provider of integrated services in the UK. Its 10,000 employees offer a field based service across the British Isles. Created in 1982, the group has grown rapidly and since 2000 much of its expansion has occurred through the acquisition of a number of complementary businesses, including most recently environmental support services firm Fountains plc. These successful acquisitions have brought a number of challenges, including how to integrate heterogeneous software environments, all running independently from one another.
The first stage is to implement Microsoft Dynamics™ AX, as part of the organisation’s multi-million pound business transformation programme. Other parts of the programme include the integration of presence information into CRM so that Connaught can find and deploy field engineers to site much more quickly. 2e2’s track record in enabling mobile workforces is one of the key reasons for Connaught selecting them; 2e2 are a real partner for delivery across the transformation portfolio.
“Connaught successfully completes 1.3 Million jobs per year. A single project costing and procurement system will lay a foundation that helps us move forward into the new decade making delivery of those jobs more efficient and less costly. It will also act as the platform for our future growth into new areas. Moving to one system will allow us to better predict the needs in our business and deliver improved pro-active maintenance with our existing contracts. This in turn should result in higher levels of customer satisfaction.” Commented Lucien Wynn, Group IS Director at Connaught plc. “Once AX is implemented it is important that we can surface the information within for management information purposes. As a result it needs to work seamlessly with our reporting and analytics systems. 2e2’s track record in integrating line of business systems served to reassure us further that we had chosen the right company to partner with to deliver this implementation.”
