2e2 rated in top twenty of South East Deloitte Buyout Track 100

2e2 is included in Britain’s top 100 private-equity backed companies with the fastest-growing profits.

Newbury, 8th February 2010 – Berkshire-based IT services and solutions provider, 2e2, today announced coming 16th in a list of South East businesses appearing in the latest The Sunday Times Deloitte Buyout Track 100 league table. It is positioned at No 86 nationally and sees 2e2 appear as one of only twelve companies to have made at least three consecutive
appearances on the Buyout Track 100 league table.

The league table ranks Britain’s 100 private-equity backed companies with the fastest-growing profits.   2e2s listing is a result of its 33 per cent year on year growth in profit, which has increased from £13.3million in 2006 to £23.5million in 2008.

Nineteen of the companies on the league table are headquartered in the South East, with 2e2 being one of four from the Berkshire area.  The other companies are business training provider QA, software developer, Iris, based in Datchet and Leasedrive Velo, vehicle management provider located in Wokingham.  2e2s contribution to the local economy is clear with it employing over 800 staff and consistently making profit.

2e2 provides consultancy, integration and support services to organisations, and as such is the only IT services provider in the league table.

Co-founders of 2e2, Terry Burt and Mark McVeigh, have pursued an aggressive acquisition strategy, with 15 IT firms brought onboard since 2002.  As a result, and in addition to its HQ in Newbury, 2e2 operates from a number of locations across the UK, the Channel Islands and the Netherlands.  In 2006, Duke Street Capital bought out original investor Gresham in a deal valuing the business at £130million.
Data was compiled by the Oxford-based independent research and networking events company “Fast Track”, who track Britain’s top-performing private companies, ranging from the fastest-growing to the biggest.

Terry Burt, CEO of 2e2, said, “We are delighted that 2e2 has been, for the third year running,  recognised in The Sunday Times Deloitte Buyout Track 100.  2e2 believes that continuously achieving a place in the top 100 companies is testament to thehard work and commitment that has been put in place at 2e2, not just during the three years covered by this, but from our inception in 2002.  2e2’s placement in the top 100 companies recognises the skills and dedication of our staff which has helped us to achieve such a prominent position.”
