2e2 featured in the 2009 Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250

2e2, a leading provider of mission-critical IT services, today announced that it has been featured as number 175 in this year’s Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table of Britain’s biggest mid-market private companies

Newbury, 12th October 2009 – 2e2, a leading provider of mission-critical IT services, today announced that it has been featured as number 175 in this year’s Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table of Britain’s biggest mid-market private companies. Top Track 250 ranks Britain's biggest mid-market private companies, based on company turnover as shown in the latest available audited accounts. Sales ranged from £153m to £592m. It complements the Top Track 100 league table of Britain’s biggest private companies and lists the next 101 to 350 biggest firms. 2e2’s ongoing listing has been a result of its continued success in 2008, with sales reaching £204.9 million.

Operating across the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, Newbury-based 2e2 has made 15 acquisitions since its founding in 2002, the latest being a £58m deal taking managed services provider Netstore. Founders Terry Burt and Mark McVeigh saw the business through a £130m secondary buyout from Gresham backed by Duke Street Capital in 2006.

Now in its fifth year, The Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 annual league table is compiled by Oxford-based research and networking events company Fast Track, who rank Britain’s top-performing private companies, ranging from the fastest-growing to the biggest.

Terry Burt, CEO of 2e2, said “We are delighted that 2e2 has yet again been featured in this year’s Sunday Times Top Track 250. 2008 was another strong year for 2e2 and the company achieved a number of important strategic objectives which has led us to build a stronger business as a result. The economies in which 2e2 operates entered recession during the year, but the company has been able to maintain its track record of growth. Our ranking is a testament to the skills and dedication of 2e2’s staff which has helped us to achieve such recognition.”
